Quick Facts

Private, Catholic, liberal arts college founded in 1871 by the Ursuline Sisters. Offers over 30 undergraduate majors and nine graduate programs. Only women-focused college in Ohio and one of the relative few in the United States. A world of mind and spirit immersion in education, community, leadership, values, citizenship and success, Ursuline teaches the empowerment of self.

Campus
Fourteen buildings nestled on over 100 wooded acres in Pepper Pike, Ohio about 15 miles east of Cleveland. The campus is a safe, intimate environment with easy and convenient access and free parking.

Financial Assistance
Over 90 percent of first-year students receive financial assistance.

UC Firsts
Ursuline offers the only graduate Art Therapy and Counseling program in Ohio, the first Palliative Care Nursing program in the country and is the only college that has a five-year (BA to MA) Historic Preservation program.

National Ranking
According to the National Survey of Student Engagement, UC remains at the head of the class in student engagement and outperformed other colleges in the areas of academic challenge, collaborative learning, student-faculty interaction, educational enrichment and supportive campus environment.

Activities
Unlimited leadership opportunities and more than 20 student-led organizations, plus annual traditions like Fall Orientation,Welcome Week, Haunted Ursuline, Fall Formal, Founders Week, Casino Night and Little Sibs Weekend, as well as an ever-changing calendar of social events.

Athletics
The Ursuline Arrows compete in eight varsity sports including volleyball, soccer, golf, basketball, cross country, track & field, softball and tennis. Ursuline is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II and the American Mideast Conference. UC is a Champions of Character Program Center (one of two in Ohio) and is directly involved in instilling values in sports within the college and its surrounding community.

Alumnae
Ten-thousand, of which 8,000 reside in Ohio.
